Our local beaches offer some of the most beautiful coastal landscapes in the region. From the golden sands of Blackpool Sands to the sheltered coves of Bigbury-on-Sea, each beach has its own unique charm. Whether you're looking to relax by the water, take part in water sports, or explore rock pools, the stunning scenery and crystal-clear waters make these beaches perfect for all types of visitors. Surrounded by dramatic cliffs and lush greenery, the beaches here are not only picturesque but also provide a peaceful retreat in the heart of nature's beauty.

BLACKPOOL SANDS

Dog friendly. If sand is a no go for you then this beach is just perfect! With its Stoney shingle there’s no fuss with sand! The beach has a great café, lounge and restaurant to cater for any time of day. There is beach sports available to hire and also has an elegantly crafted wooden sauna for hire during your visit. There is also a beach shop for essentials.

Slapton Sands

A picturesque shingle beach stretching almost two miles from Strete to Torcross. Just behind the beach is the largest natural freshwater lake in the Southwest and home to a vast array of flora and fauna. As always there’s Fish and Chips and ice cream on offer too! The full stretch of beach is dog friendly too.

BANTHAM

Bantham is the beach you dream about for your British seaside holiday. White sandy shoreline, shallow waters for the kids to safely play and yet energetic for the surfer in you. Parking a short distance from the beach. What more can you ask for?

BIGBURY – ON – SEA

Dog friendly. Can be found just a short hop along the shoreline of Bigbury Bay. It has a wonderful sandy beach, great café and water sports hire centre. It is attached to a tidal island, Burgh Island, that is an iconic South Devon landmark. If you’re feeling energetic a walk around the island will allow you to explore the remains of the Chapel and the wildlife that lives on its shores

SOUTH MILTON SANDS

A sandy stretch that is dog-friendly during the colder months of the year, the beach café and restaurant at South Milton serves some of the best sea food to be found anywhere in the South Hams. This beach truly is picturesque at sunrise and sunset if you get the chance to catch these special times!
